Open Government Act

The Open Government Act (‘Woo’) gives everyone the right of access to goverment information. The Act requires the government to disclose important documents and make them available to the public. You have the right to ask information from us by submitting a ‘Woo request’. We will then disclose that information, unless we are prohibited to do so for another reason.

How long before you get a response?

You will receive a response to your request within 4 weeks. In some circumstances, this period can be extended by a further 2 weeks.

If it takes longer for us to respond, we will let you know in writing within the first 4 weeks and explain why we need more time.

If we need further information from you about your request, we will contact you within the first 2 weeks.

How to submit a Woo request

First, fill in all the questions on the form. You will then be asked to submit the form online or print it and send it by post.
