Check whether you can get an AIO supplement

You can get an AIO supplement if you:

  • have reached your AOW pension age
  • live in the Netherlands
  • do not get an AOW pension, or you get less than a full AOW pension
  • have little or no other income
  • do not have more than a certain amount in assets

If you get the full AOW pension amount and you have a partner, you may still be able to get an AIO supplement if:

  • your partner has not started receiving an AOW pension
  • you and your partner have little or no income besides your AOW pension
  • you and your partner do not have more than a certain amount in assets
