You can request a certificate of non-insurance under the Wlz scheme if you meet the necessary conditions.
You are covered by health insurance in an EU or EEA country, a treaty country, or Switzerland
If you are covered by health insurance in a country of the European Union (EU ) or European Economic Area (EEA ), or in a treaty country or Switzerland, you can request a certificate of non-insurance under the Wlz scheme if you:
- live in the Netherlands, and
- do not work in the Netherlands
You receive a pension from an international organisation
You can apply for a certificate of non-insurance under the Wlz scheme if you:
- do not work in the Netherlands, and
- have sufficient coverage under the collective health insurance scheme of the international organisation. This insurance must include hospital care and long-term care in nursing homes.
Your partner or family member receives a pension from an international organisation
You can apply for a certificate of non-insurance under the Wlz scheme if you:
- live in the Netherlands, and
- do not work in the Netherlands, and
- do not receive a Dutch benefit, and
- have sufficient coverage under the collective health insurance scheme of the international organisation. This insurance must include hospital care and long-term care in nursing homes.
Your late partner or family member received a pension from an international organisation
You can apply for a certificate of non-insurance under the Wlz scheme if you:
- live in the Netherlands, and
- do not work in the Netherlands, and
- do not receive a Dutch benefit, and
- have sufficient coverage under the collective health insurance scheme of the international organisation. This insurance must include hospital care and long-term care in nursing homes.
