You move house
If you move house within the Netherlands
If you move from one address in the Netherlands to another, you do not need to report it to us. But you must report your change of address to your local municipal offices (gemeente). Your gemeente will forward your new address to us.
If you leave the Netherlands or move house outside the Netherlands
If you move from the Netherlands to another country, you must inform us of your new address.
If you live outside the Netherlands and you move to a new address in the same country or in another country, you must always report this to us. You can do this by using a ‘Reporting changes’ form.
If you move to a care home or a nursing home
If you move to a care home or a nursing home, your benefit or other payments you receive for costs may change.
You can find more information about the consequences of moving to a care or nursing home in the Netherlands in the leaflet 'Reporting changes: moving to a residential care home'.
If you need more information about the consequences of moving to a care home or nursing home outside the Netherlands, you can contact the V&O department.
If your letters need to go to a different address
If you would like us to send your letters to a different address, for example, to a P.O. Box, or to one of your children, please let us know in writing.
If you want us to send your post to your own address again, or if you have a new postal address, please remember to let us know.
If you prefer, you can authorise someone else to manage your affairs for you.
