You move house
If you move house within the Netherlands
If you move from one address in the Netherlands to another, you do not need to report it to us. However, you must report your change of address to your municipality (gemeente). Your gemeente will forward your new address to us.
If you move to a care institution in the Netherlands, you must report this to us.
If you leave the Netherlands or move house outside the Netherlands
If you move from the Netherlands to another country, you must inform us of your new address.
If you live outside the Netherlands and you move to a new address in the same country or in another country, you must always report this to us. You can do this by using a ‘Reporting changes’ form.
Moving to a care institution
If you move to a care institution, your benefit or any contributions you receive towards costs may change.
You can find more information about the consequences of moving to a care institution in the Netherlands in the leaflet ‘Reporting changes: moving to a residential care home’.
If you need more information about the consequences of moving to a care institution outside the Netherlands, you can contact the V&O department.
If your letters need to go to a different address
If you would like us to send your letters to a different address, such as a PO Box, or to one of your children, please let us know in writing.
If you want us to send your post to your own address again, or if you have a new postal address, please remember to let us know.
If you prefer, you can authorise someone else to manage your affairs for you.
