You want to return to the Netherlands
You and your family members are always free to return to the Netherlands for a short stay, e.g. for a holiday or to visit relatives. However, if you want to return to the Netherlands permanently, your remigration benefit will stop.

Returning to the Netherlands within 1 year
During the first year after remigration, you have the option of using a simplified re-entry procedure if you want to move back to the Netherlands. If you come back to live in the Netherlands, your remigration benefit will stop.
Returning to the Netherlands after 1 year
If you move back to the Netherlands more than a year after remigrating, you will have to go through the standard entry procedure for people wishing to settle in the Netherlands.
