Income from work, such as gross wages, an end-of-year bonus or profit from enterprise, is partly deducted from the Anw survivor benefit. The amount of €678.70 includes the top-up of €21.16 per month. The other income is deducted from the Anw survivor benefit without the top-up. Therefore, the amount of Anw survivor benefit used for our calculation is €657.54 gross per month.
This is how it works:
- The first €1,534.26 of the gross income is disregarded.
- Two thirds of the income above that amount is deducted from the Anw survivor benefit
- If you earn a gross amount of €2,908.32 or more per month, that will leave only €657.54 gross per month in Anw survivor benefit.
If you have a gross amount of €2,908.32 or more per month, that will leave only €657.54 gross per month in Anw survivor benefit.
Not all types of income are taken into account for the purposes of the calculation. If you receive a survivor benefit from another organisation or company, it will be disregarded. Income from assets, holiday allowances and payments from annuities you have taken out yourself is also disregarded.
Your situation is regarded as involving extensive care if you:
- live with someone because they need extensive care, or
- live with someone because you need extensive care yourself.
