Other benefits and income
You may qualify for other benefits or income on top of your Anw survivor benefit, or after your Anw survivor benefit has stopped.
Child benefit is payable for all children aged 18 or over.
If you are entitled to child benefit, you may also be entitled to child budget. A guardian or carer can claim child budget.
If you are aged 18 or over and you live in rented accommodation, you may be entitled to rent benefit from Dienst Toeslagen.
If you are aged 18 or over, you are required to take out health insurance, and you may be entitled to healthcare benefit paid by Dienst Toeslagen.
Ask your municipality whether you are entitled to support under the Social Support Act (Wmo ) or from youth services.
If you require care as a result of an illness or a disability, you can claim a personal care budget. If you are a minor, your guardian or carer can claim it for you.
You may be entitled to a survivor’s pension from your deceased partner’s company pension fund. For more information, you should contact the pension fund concerned.
You may receive an inheritance after your partner dies.
If you are a foster parent, you may be entitled to a foster care allowance. For more information, you should contact your municipality (gemeente).
If you are under the age of 27, you may qualify for student finance from the Dutch Education Service (DUO).
