You do not wish to be insured under the AOW pension scheme

If you do not wish to be insured because of your convictions or beliefs, you can request a certificate of non-insurance.

If you receive wages or a benefit, you will usually pay national insurance contributions automatically. 

If you do not wish to be insured and you meet the conditions for non-insurance, you can apply for an exemption . This means you will no longer be insured and you will stop paying contributions.
