If you do not wish to be covered by any form of insurance because of your convictions or beliefs, you can request a statement (an exemption) to show that you are not insured in the Netherlands.
You do not wish to be covered by any form of insurance for another reason
If you receive wages/salary or a benefit, you will usually pay national insurance contributions automatically.
If you do not want to be insured, you may be able to apply for an exemption . If you are granted an exemption, you will no longer have to pay contributions. However, you will no longer be insured under the national insurance schemes either.
