Upload documents
You can upload documents in My SVB. This is an easy way to send a life certificate or any other document you want to send us. Read how to upload documents in 4 steps.
Step 1. Check your documents
Check whether you can upload the documents. You can upload documents if:
- they are in JPG, JPEG or PDF format
- you upload a maximum of 20 documents at a time. If you have more than 20 documents, repeat this process for the remaining documents
- the documents together do not exceed 8MB. If the documents exceed 8MB, upload the remaining documents separately
If your documents are not suitable for submitting them online, you should send them to us by post.
Some types of documents must always be sent by post. This is the case, for example, if we need original documents.
The following original documents must always be sent by post:
- a birth certificate from a country other than the Netherlands
- life certificates with an embossed stamp
- if we specifically ask you to send the original document
You should send your documents to our general postal address:
