The General War Injuries Scheme for Indonesia (AOR)
The General War Injuries Scheme for Indonesia (AOR) offers financial support to Dutch citizens and conscripts who suffered war injuries in Asia between December 1941 and February 1954 (during the Second World War and after).
Under the AOR scheme, you could get a monthly payment or an allowance or reimbursement for costs.
Monthly benefit
If the war caused you to suffer permanent damage to your health which has left you at least 10% incapacitated for work, you can qualify for a monthly payment. We will look at the last job you did before you stopped working. Being a housewife can also be considered as a job.
If you are 70 or over when you submit your claim, we will see if you were incapacitated for work before you turned 70.
The amount of your benefit depends on the following:
- your work history and the degree of incapacity
- your personal circumstances
- your income
Benefits for surviving partners
If your wife or husband has died as a result of their war injuries, you could receive financial support, but only in exceptional circumstances. For more information, you can contact our V&O department.
Payments towards costs
If you have extra costs linked to injuries you got during the war, and you do not receive anything to help you pay for these costs, you can qualify for an allowance or reimbursement from us. This could be for medical treatment, home help or travel expenses. The surviving partners of war victims cannot receive financial support towards costs.
