The Temporary Psychotherapy Reimbursement scheme (Tvp)
The Tvp scheme (temporary psychotherapy reimbursement scheme for the post-war generation) reimburses psychotherapy costs for children of victims of war.
Do you qualify for reimbursement under the Tvp scheme?
You can get reimbursement under the Tvp scheme if you meet all the following conditions:
- you live in the Netherlands
- you were born in or after 1928
- you have psychological complaints stemming from war-related events that one or both of your parents (or guardians) experienced during the Second World War
- the costs of your psychotherapy treatment are not fully reimbursed by your health insurer
- a recognised therapist charges the costs of treatment to your health insurer on the basis of a care performance model
How much is reimbursed?
The Tvp scheme reimburses the amount that you have to pay yourself. The reimbursement amount can vary, but it cannot be higher than the maximum statutory DTC rate as established by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa).
