When will your AIO supplement stop?
Your AIO supplement tops up your income to the level of the guaranteed minimum income . If your situation changes, your AIO supplement might stop. It is important that you know when your AIO supplement will stop, so you know what changes you must report to us.
If your income (or your partner’s income) is more than the maximum AIO amount, your AIO supplement will stop.
If you have more than €8,000 in assets, you cannot get an AIO supplement. If you live with your partner, or with a child under the age of 18, you can have up to €16,000 in assets.
If you stay outside the Netherlands for longer than 91 days (13 weeks), your AIO supplement will stop. You can apply for an AIO supplement again after you return to the Netherlands.
Your AIO supplement will stop if:
- you move to another country
- your residence permit is cancelled
- you are in prison, a detention centre or a closed treatment facility
- you die
