Changes that can affect your AIO supplement

Sometimes the amount of your AIO supplement can change, for example if your income or the value of your assets goes up. You can read more about when your AIO supplement will change below.

If your or your partner's income or assets go up or down, we will adjust the amount of your AIO supplement.

If you get married or start sharing a house with other people, or if you get divorced or start living on your own, we will adjust the amount of your AIO supplement.

Other situations that can affect the amount of your AIO supplement:

  • You or your partner go into a nursing home
  • Your partner is going to live outside the Netherlands
  • Someone starts living in the same house with you
  • Someone stops living at your house

If your partner dies, we will adjust the amount of your AIO supplement. You may be able to get income support from your municipality (gemeente) on top of your AIO supplement.
