What is an Anw survivor benefit?

An Anw survivor benefit is a basic income paid by the Dutch government to people whose partner or ex-partner died. Anyone who meets the qualifying conditions and has not yet reached their AOW pension age is entitled to an Anw survivor benefit.

Anw survivor benefit comes under the National Survivor Benefits Act (Anw).
