You want to authorise someone to represent you

If you prefer, you can authorise someone else to manage your affairs with the SVB. If you want them to manage your affairs by post or by telephone, you will need to complete and sign an authorisation form. For your online affairs, you will have to use DigiD Machtigen (DigiD Authorisation).

How to authorise someone

Choose what you want to know more about:

Never give your DigiD to anyone else. Instead, you can authorise them via DigiD Machtigen (DigiD Authorisation). You can choose who you want to authorise and what you want them to do. Your representative must have their own DigiD. They will use their own DigiD to log in to manage your affairs for you.

You will need an authorisation form if your representative :

  • requests information from us, either orally or in writing
  • gives information to us, either orally or in writing
  • needs us to send your post directly to them
  • requests, changes or adds to your personal details, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you want to act on behalf of a person who is legally incapacitated , they will not be able to authorise you.

Instead, another person, for example their partner, child, brother or sister, can ask the court to appoint an administrator .
