Objecting to a decision

If you disagree with a decision, you should call us first. We can then explain our decision to you and answer any questions you have. If you still disagree after speaking to us, you can request a review via My SVB. How to request a review is explained below in 4 steps.

Step 1. Prepare your request for review

If you think you will need more than 15 minutes to enter your request for review, we would advise you to type your request for review in a separate document first, because you will be automatically logged out if you stay in the same screen for 15 minutes.

Save your document as a PDF file, using a PDF reader, for example. Or as an image (JPG or JPEG).

Step 2. Log in to My SVB

Log in with your DigiD. If you live in Europe, you can also log in with a valid EU login.

Step 3. Enter your request for review

If you see your name at the top of the screen, you are logged in. You can find the option for requesting a review (‘Bezwaar maken’) under ‘Zelf regelen’.

Type your request for review or type that you will upload a document with your request for review.

Go to uploading documents (‘Documenten uploaden’).

Step 4. Confirmation of receipt

When you have uploaded your request for review, you will see confirmation of this on your screen. You can save this confirmation as a PDF file or print it, using a PDF reader, for example.
