DigiD Authorisation

Never give your DigiD to anyone else. If you want someone else to manage your affairs for you online, please use DigiD Authorisation . You can only authorise someone who also has a DigiD.

Choose what you want to know more about:

Use DigiD Authorisation to authorise a representative now on the DigiD website, where you will find a video explaining how to do this. You can log in to the website with your DigiD.

If you do not have a DigiD of your own, your representative can apply for one on your behalf. To do this, they will need your Burgerservicenummer (BSN ) and date of birth.

You can also use DigiD Authorisation if you live outside the Netherlands.

You can decide for yourself whom you want to authorise. You can choose a member of your family or, for example, a social worker.

This person can then log in with their own DigiD or a valid EU Login.

Please note that you cannot use DigiD Authorisation to authorise an administrator.

Your representative can do the following in My SVB:

  • View your personal details
  • Report a change, submit an application or claim, send a message or upload documents on your behalf

If you have activated your MijnOverheid account and you receive digital correspondence from the SVB in your Message Box (Berichtenbox) at MijnOverheid, your representative will be able to view this correspondence and your details.

If you would also like to authorise your DigiD representative to manage your affairs by post or telephone, you will need to fill in the SVB authorisation form.

Even if you authorise someone else, you will still be responsible for making sure that your affairs with the SVB are handled properly and on time.
